Hello Fellow Followers, errr- ummm, Sheeps! :)
I am quite aware that it has been a 'minute' since I've last posted. Summer seems to have hibernated for a few months. Fall is here. Nice, comfortable, cool weather. It's finally not unbearable to go outside now. Yaaaay!
Kota is growing like a weed! Our last Doctor's appointment, she had gotten 3 shots in the thigh.. that swelled up her legs something fierce. Poor baby! :( Weighing in at 9 lbs, 11 oz. We've also been more communicative. We're smiling more, and are taking great notice in things around us now. Even taken to chasing the mobile above our head in our swing with out head and eyes going "Oooo!!!!", "Ahhhh!!", with occasional baby giggles, and TONS of adorable endless smiles. We've recently rolled from our belly on to our back. And are now trying, and have successfully grabbed the rings that hangs above us in our bouncy. She's doing sooooo great. A lot of exciting happenings. We just recently met someone new. And that mystery will be uncovered later. It was a great meeting. Lots of smiles, and giggles.
Will update more later.

As Promised; A Story Of How You Became...Panoose(r)
It was Mommy & Daddy's first Christmas together. We had to go shopping for your siblings. Mommy ran across a toy Panda Bear that made all sorts of cute noises. Played them all, and laughed hysterically because those are the sounds that Mommy makes when she's in a really good, silly, goofy mood. I call Daddy over to see this cute little Panda toy. I press the button to play all of the sounds, and he agreed, sounded like Mommy. So from that night on, Mommy became Panda.
How Daddy got his name? Your siblings heard Daddy make a crazy noise while he stretched and yawned simultaneously and they thought he sounded like a dying Moose. I began to call him Papa Moose, which then became just Moose.
I went on many of Daddy's business trips, and one so happened to be in South Dakota. (where you were made, sorry baby, you weren't made in China like you probably had hoped)
While coming up with names, we thought it were appropriate to name you Dakota. Such a lovely surprise you were. A few days after the event of making you, Mommy flew home to be with the fellow Pandas for her Birthday gathering. On her way home, she began to feel motion sickness on the 2nd plane home. That motion sickness lasted for 1-2 weeks. Mommy, and Daddy figured out it wasn't motion sickness from the plane ride home, it was you building a home in Mommy's tummy for 9 months.
After being pregnant for a bit, we then decided that we should come up with a nick name for you... One of your siblings came up with Mooseda. But little did they know, we already had come up with a name for you... Panoose. Panda, and Moose= Panoose. We thought it was rather cute.
Mommy had some complications with her pregnancy with you. We almost thought we were going to lose you. You were my little miracle baby. :)
Aunt Ashleigh wanted you out so bad so she could have play dates with you, and Cousin Johnny Lee jinxed it with the Preterm Early Labor. Because after he said that, Mommy had to go to the hospital, and you came a couple of days later on May 31st, 6 weeks early, at 34 weeks, and 4 days gestation. Weighing in at 5 lbs, 4 oz. You made it just in time for your party (baby shower)!
I hope this doesn't mean that you're going to grow up too fast on me. You're already going on 3 months, and last time we were at the Doctors you weighed 8 lbs, 1 oz. ...My sweet little baby is growing up. *sniffle, sniffle* I just hope that you stay my sweet little girl forever. I already feel jipt out of my pregnancy! I really enjoyed being pregnant with you. I wish it lasted longer.. but I cannot even imagine having carried you full term. *crosses eyes, and shakes head* I look at you, and still cannot believe that I helped make you. It all feels like a dream. I completely love it. And would absolutely do it all again.
I Love You, Baby Girl!
Love always, Mommy

Not So Happy Panoose
Today, you were extra cranky. Mommy put you on her chest while lying down, and you took your little hand and fingers and gouged the buhjeezus out of Mommy's eye. It hurt, I'm not going to lie. After it happened, it felt like you made me bleed. But I think it was just my eye watering.
Having a late night 'Panda' gathering probably kept you up fighting sleep last night. We went to see Uncle Sammy because he wasn't doing so good. Who also died today on Aunt Amber's 23rd Birthday at 5:50pm. Even though the gathering wasn't quite a happy one, everyone still tried to keep their spirits up by cracking a few jokes here and there, as Uncle Sammy would have if he were feeling better than he was, and wasn't dying. You've met a lot of the family that you haven't seen, or met before. Lots of new faces holding you.. I'm sure it was pretty exciting, or rather frightening from your view.
After a good long fight from you, you finally fell asleep once I put you into Grannyma's Bedroom in your bassinet. (it's nice, cool, and dark in there like the spiders and crickets like it. ...just kidding) Once I put you down, and covered you up, you fussed-fussed a bit, and out like a light you went. Does Mommy know best or what?

Tough Times
My Sweet Baby Kota Booger Boo,
Mommy & Daddy may be having rough times, and things may be crazy.. but just know that we both love you VERY MUCH.
No matter how upset I get, I never regretted having you. You're the best thing that's happened to me from this complete chaotic mess. You give me hope when I want to throw in the towel at life and just give up. You keep me going. And you don't have to do anything but to just be you. In fact, you are only 2 months old. All you can do is be yourself. So adorably cute, and innocent. I can't ever leave you.
I cannot imagine life without you. You're my sweet little girl who always brightens my day in the gloomiest of days. You make everything worth it. I will ALWAYS love you, baby.
Love always,
Mommy

The Start Of A Life Documentation
As of Today, August 10th, 2011....
I, Momma Panda begin a life documentation of The Adventures Of Panoose. Who was born May 31st, 2011 as Dakota. (No, not after the actress Dakota Fanning either) We'll get into all of that soon enough. I'm new at this, so bare with me.
Sound exciting? It should. Many of Panoose(r) happenings have been going on in just a short 8-9 weeks. I did say that she'd be early, and well, early she was. A heaping 6 weeks early! Born at 34 weeks, and 4 days gestation. Weighing in at 5 lbs, 4 oz. Head as around as a curved around ruler. (adding a 1/2 inch). 17 inches long. WOW! So tiny, but so long. I can't imagine what it would have been like if I carried you full term. Scary thought actually. If any of my readers have personally experienced child birth first hand. Might I add.... Eeeeeeek! It's crazy enough to think that something a foot wide came out of such a confined spaced area.. any bigger, umm... it kinda hurts to think about.
All of the unpleasant moments I've faced for you aside, I look at you now sweet baby, and I cannot believe that you're here. That I helped create you becoming a part of me. As strange as it sounds, I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my pregnancy with you. It had some ups and downs none the less, but more so ups. I had a few problems, and risks.. but we both turned out alright. As long as I had a happy, healthy, baby... that's all that mattered to me.
I will have to write more about you from the very beginning after I post this. :)
